Caring for Our Little Ones
Diapers and Potty Training
Our Infant, Ones, and Twos rooms are equipped for diaper changes. (If your 3-year old is not quite there yet, please talk to Jenny Lichte or Corey Snyder to determine the best class for your child.) We have plenty of wipes and diapers, but if your child requires a special kind, please send labeled supplies and we’ll keep them in a cubby for you. If your child is potty training, please talk with their teacher when you bring your child.
Snacks and Other Food
Infants can be given bottles as needed, and Cheerios or fruit/veggie puffs with parent permission. We will not feed your child other solid foods, though, as this could cause allergy problems for others in the room.
One-year-olds may have Cheerios or graham crackers at snack time. We’ll always have a cup of water for them, but please don’t send milk as this can also cause problems for other children with allergies.
Children two years and older may have animal crackers, pretzels, graham crackers, goldfish, or other snacks. We very rarely give them sweets (Easter Sunday and sometimes Christmas are exceptions), and do our best to never give them peanut products. But please be sure we’re aware of any allergies, as we have other options for those who need them.
Sick Children
As you bring your children to join their peers, please keep these two truths in mind: we love your child, and we love our other children as well. Though we miss our kiddos when they’re not with us, we want to do all we can to reduce the spread of germs between families. If your child is displaying any of the following symptoms, come on back and borrow of a couple of toys and color pages, and participate in the worship service from the couches near the lobby TV.
- fever
- conjunctivitis
- vomiting or diarrhea
- persistent coughing or sneezing
- Hand-Foot-Mouth disease
- rashes with open sores or in open areas
- colored mucous
- Strep throat

WORSHIP FOR LITTLE ONES
During the worship hour, our youngest Grace kids are welcomed by an eager staff of trained volunteers. These caring adults help little ones learn of our great God through prayer, play, music, and Bible stories. Let us know what is best for your family. We’re happy to text you when they get a little fussy, or we’ll help them work things through.
A Nursing Moms’ Room is available during all church events.
THREES, FOURS, AND FIVES
WORSHIP FOR PRESCHOOL
During the worship hour, preschoolers work their way through the Bible in three years, learning each story with kid-style worship, story time, games, crafts, snacks, and lots of play. Their lessons coordinate with the K-4th grade lessons so families can discuss what they’ve learned over lunch and throughout the week.

KINDERGARTEN - FOURTH GRADE
GRACE KIDS CHILDREN'S CHURCH
After worshiping with parents, elementary kids meet for a God-centered, age-appropriate Bible lesson from the Gospel Project for Kids. This curriculum goes through the Bible in three years, connecting each Bible story to the Gospel of Jesus. After the Large Group time, kids head to their classrooms for story review, games, crafts, and discussion, all designed to give understanding to the day’s lesson in various ways.
CHILDREN'S AIDES
It’s a privilege to minister to children with disabilities and their families by helping church to become a positive experience for everyone. Children’s Ministry staff will spend time getting to know each child and his or her particular needs. We’ll find just the right one-on-one aide to pair up with each child with disabilities. Then, with parents, we’ll train teachers to work effectively with each specific child who needs personal care and assistance. Contact Jenny Lichte for more information.
