Mercy

Grace PCA Mercy Ministries extends the mercy of Christ to those in need across our community.

FREEDOM HOME

Grace partners with Freedom Home in Lawrence KS, the first Saturday of the month to provide a meal, prayer, worship, and conversation to Lawrence homeless. We need volunteers to make and serve food, visit with and pray for people as well as lead in worship songs or an evangelistic devotional.

RESPITE CARE/JAYHAWK AREA AGENCY ON AGING

Grace partners with Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging to provide respite services for people dealing with early stages of dementia or Alzheimers.   Volunteers provide friendship and support for our elderly friends from 10-2 on Tuesdays and Fridays to provide their caregivers space to rest or accomplish essential tasks that they couldn’t otherwise.

MEADOWLARK WORSHIP

Grace provides worship services for residents at Meadowlark Estates the second Sundays of each month.  Volunteers needed include those willing to visit with residents and lead in worship music.

Grief Share

A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is for EVERYONE!

No one should have to face their pain alone.

We are a grace-filled community of strugglers who courageously enter this safe and beautiful space to get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God, and others. In this process, we come to accept that some of the habits we have developed to escape our pain may have hurt us and those close to us.

It is a biblically based approach to help us achieve long lasting recovery by healing our hurts, guiding us toward new healthy truths, and developing life-giving habits.

Grace provides worship services for residents at Meadowlark Estates the second Sundays of each month.  Volunteers needed include those willing to visit with residents and lead in worship music.

Safe families

Safe Families for Children seeks to bring the church and community together to keep children safe and families together. Safe Families for Children is rooted in faith, fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion, to build a network of caring and compassionate volunteers to support families facing social isolation. Our goal is to support and strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect, and reduce the number of children unnecessarily entering the child welfare system.
