Grace Kids
We love kids, and we really want them to know God.
Grace Kids has two roles. First, we want to share Jesus with kids all over Lawrence, Kansas, whether that’s inviting them in, going out into our community, or teaching other kids how to be little lights where they are. Second, we believe Christian parents are the primary spiritual teachers for their children, so we, the church, work alongside parents with support and encouragement as they teach the Gospel to their children.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Join us for Sunday School for all ages (even infants and toddlers!) from early September through the beginning of May.
Each class is taught by teachers who love their age group and use curriculum that centers on who God is and what he’s done. Children’s Sunday school schedule follows the adult schedule (we don’t meet when they don’t).
CATAKIDS
Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30PM*
Catakids has two purposes – catechism and community. Using a children’s version of the Westminster Catechism, our children learn all about God and our faith in a question-and-answer format. Also, Catakids teams are unique to this time of the week, and allow for community-building and conversation unlike any regular classroom settings. All kids ages 4 years through 5th grade are welcome!
*On Family Dinner Nights, kids eat in their own Dining Rooms at 6:00 and are picked up by their Team Leaders at 6:25 to begin Catakids. Infants through 3 year olds are welcome on these nights, too.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Wednesdays 5:15 - 6:00PM
Grace Children’s Choir is a non-performance-based opportunity for Grace Kids to learn about praising God in song. Children ages kindergarten through fifth grade learn old hymns and children’s praise songs along with fun lessons about rhythm, melody, harmony, diction, and more.

We are a ministry driven by a deep longing to see God work to rescue children and their families. We don’t work to keep the children out of the way, or to entertain them. We work so that they can know and love God with their whole hearts.
SAFETY & SPECIAL NEEDS
You trust us to care for your children. We count that a great honor, and we take it seriously.
- Background Checks are completed for every Children’s Ministry Volunteer or Paid Caregiver.
- Volunteer Training includes emergency, first aid, and child protection policies, along with our goals for a God-centered, child-welcoming ministry.
- Two-Person Rule – Children will never be out of sight or one-on-one with a non-custodial adult.
- We use the Realm secure check-in system to make sure children are only released to designated adults.
Our Sunflower Program is specifically for children with unique needs. We have dedicated caregivers and a sensory room on-site, and want to get to know each child and family so that we can provide a welcoming, connected environment for everyone at Grace. f you would like to know more about what this could mean for your child or to make arrangements ahead of time, please contact Jenny.
